AT < HKISTCHI KCH AND LYTTELTON. The programme for the cere monies to-day will be: — AT CHBMTCHTJBXJH BAILWAY ■TATIOM. 2.30 p.m.—Bon. W. B. Taveraer, f M Railway*, will speak. 2.40 p.m.—Mmsth Cory Wnght and Ute contractors for the supply of electrical equipment for the Lyttelton line, will present Mr* Tavemer with a pair of sotrtenir scissors and the Hon. W. B. Taverner with the lever for starting tha electric locomotive. 2.46 pan-—Mrs Taverns* wiil sever the ribbon to permit the first electric locomotive to leave Christchurcb for Lyttelton. 2.47 pa—Hod. W. B. Tavemer will sun the first et®nrlc locomotive to leave Christchurch for Lyttelton. 2.50 p.m.—Quests will Join train to proceed to Lyttelton. 3.0 p.m.—Train will depart AT liTTTBLTON. 3.30 p.m-—Afternoon tea will he •erred in the Shaw, Bavlll, and Albion Company's store, and a short toast-list presented.. 6.0 p.m.—Return train will leave Lyttelton for Chrtstchorch. Early settlers and those taking part in the ceremony will be admitted to Chrtstchorch station platform at the central entrance. Others will enter by means of tbe side entrances. Guests are requested to present their invitation cards at the entrances of Christchurch railway station and at the doors of the Shaw, Rartli. and Albion Company's store at Lyttelton. A ear on the special train will be set aside for the us* of early aettler*.
Owing to xlsk of fire, cannot be permitted in the Shaw. SavilL and Albion Company's store at Lyttelton.
