COMING-OF-AGE PARTY.

Mr and Mrs H. Oliver, of Hororata, entertained a large number of friends at their home, "Springhead," on Saturday evening, to celebrate the coming-of-age of their fourth daughter. In the granary, decorated for the occasion, games, dancing, and competitions were greatly enioyed. Musical items #ere given by Mrs J. Oliver, Misses I. Oliver, and Nelson, Messrs A. Hart and R. Felton. Supper, at which the birthday cake, with its 21 candles, was cut by the guest of the evening, was served ifl the dining room, which had been artistically decorated with mauve and pink sweet peas. The guest of the evening was the recipient of many presents. A number of Christchurch friends were present at the gathering.
