♦- NEW YEAR'S EVE TRAFFIC. After a consultation with Mr H. Macintosh, Chief Traffic Inspector, the Mayor (Mr J. K. Archer) announced j-Kiterday that it had been decided to allow no vehicular traffic in Colombo street between Hereford street and the Square on New Year's Eve from < o'clock to 10.
