The Superintendent (Mr B. G. Since last records some 65,500 sup. ft. of pine, 4575 ft of gum, and 115 cords of firewood had been sawn and disposed of. At Chamberlain's plantation 46 .cords of gum had been cut and stacked. Some 400 cords of seasoned firewood weje now available for distribution from this reserve. The ploughing and cultivating of firelines throughout the district had been continued. Bank growth of vegetation was again noticeable on several breaks that were recently ploughed and cultivation measures would hive to be repeated at g.n early date to • make the barriers effective.
The wet month had made it more difficult to keep the nursery stock in good condition, but the prospects of a satisfactory result in general propagation work were bright. The report was adopted. Accounts amounting to £554 3s 6d were passed for payment.
