MAGISTERIAL. MONDAY. (Before Mr H. A. Young, S.M.) DRUNKENNESS. Three first offenders for drunkenness were each.fined 10s and costs, in default 24 hours' imprisonment, while four others were fined 20s. in default 24 hoars' imprisonment. A female first offender was convicted and discharged, on the condition that she takes out a prohibition order against herself. BROKE PROBATION ORDER. . Frank Morcan, for failing to comply with the terms of his release on probation, was sentenced to fourteen days' imprisonment with hard labour. On a charge of drunkenness, he was convicted and ordered toi pay costs. REMANDED. On a charge of failing to comply with the terms of a maintenance order in respect to his wife, Arthur McKeever was 'remanded to January'2lst, Sub-Inspector Fitzpatrick stating that accused was already serving a:term of imprisonment of three months for a conviction in Invercargill. ' Robert Middletori was remanded to January 4th on a charge of carnal knowledge of a girl under twelve yearß of age. TUESDAY. (Before Mr H. A. Young, S.M.) DRUNKENNESS. . On a charge of drunkenness, Thomas Alexander McDonald was convicted and ordered to pay costs. For a breach of his prohibition order, ho was convicted and ordered to come up for sentence if called upon within twelve months. Mary Ann Windsor, for breaking her prohibition order, was convicted and discharged. For drunkenness, with two previous convictions within six months, she was sentenced to fourteen days' imprisonment.
