WOMAN THREATENS SUICIDE.
(fbess association tzlegbam.) AUCKLAND, December 25. "When Florence Eugene Thompson, aged 25, was charged at the Police Court with vagrancy, Sub-Inspector McCarthy said she had been living with a man who had suffered from an injury to his eyes and had been unable to earn sufficient money. There had been a squabble and. on Saturday accused threatened to throw herself oyer the Grafton bridge* A constable tried to dissuade her, but she then said she would go over the end of the wharf. A week's remand was granted.
