The Vatican, authorities are alarmed at the situation created by the collapse of two floors of the quarters occupied by the Papal Guards. a n engineer and architect, following an examination, found that it was necessary immediately to strengthen the foundations of the Palace itself as ominous cracks were discovered m other parts. —Australian Press Association.
