SWIMMING.
ANNUAL MEETING OF NEW ZEALAND COUNCIL. The New Zealand Swimming Council held its annual, meeting last night. Present: Messrs W. E. D. Bishop (president), P. G. Dunn (South Canterbury), J. B. Buchanan (Nelson), C. Bryant (Wanganui), J. Jackson (Hawke's Bay), J. "W. Toomey (Auckland), B. O'Neill (Wellington). D. Coulter (Canterbury), A. Mac Donald (Westland), A. L. Wilkinson (Taranaki), F. Collins (South -Auckland), It. B. Wheeley (Ashburton), and A. R. Jacobson (Manawattt). The annual report stated that the Association was represented at the Olympic Gaines by Misses Ena.Stockley and Kathleen Miller and Messrs D. P. Lindsay and L. J. Moorhouse. They had performed, up to expectations under adverse conditions. , Tho educational work showed a great increase daring the season, a new record having been made for the number of certificates secured by 6chool-children. _ The balance-sheet showed a credit ot £49 d. Both report' and balance-sheet were were elected as follows:—President, Mr "W. E. D. Bishop; vice-president, Mt A K. Jacobson; hon. North Island representative, Mr P. Coira; hon. treasurer, Mr P G.
