Traffic botween Lyttelton and Cor* sair Bay must use Oressy terrace. Jumble Sale. A jumble sale will bo held In St. Joseph's Hall this afternoon. Cakes, sweets, and produce will also bo on sale. ■Harbour Light Theatre. A largo audience saw the screening of the British picture, ">The Battle of Coronel and Falkland islands," at the Harbour Light Theatre last evening. This picture, which was made with the assistance of the British Admiralty and the Gorman Government, tells in a most vivid manner the story of the German squadron which, under Admiral von Spee, was cruising around the South Atlantic a few weeks after ,the outbreak of war seeking a base from whioh to control the South Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. Von Spee met Admiral Oradoek'a squadron at .Oeronel, on the north-west const of South America, and sank the flagship, Good Hope, and the Monmouth, Tho picture shows the dismay with which this news was received in London. Then the avenging squadron, under Admiral Sturdeo, was hastily dispatched from England, x and in the memorable battle at the Falkland Islands the . table® were turned. All the German ships, with the exception of the speedy Dresden, which escaped in the darkness, were sent to the bottom. The producers have succeeded _in making excellent pictures of these stirring engagements. , Tho presentation lost night was pretfeded by a prologue ill which Mr Arthur Macdonald, assisted by a number Of pupils, sang three popular sea-songs. The complete programme, including prologue, will be repeated to-night. ' • To-morrow a double feature programme, consisting of a comedy-romance, ''Anybody Here Seen Kelly?" starring Bessie Love and Tom Moore, and "The Show, featuring John Gilbert and Renee Adoree, will be screened, together with a comedy and gazette. ..
