REPARATIONS.

NEGOTIATIONS PROCEED. (BRITISH OFFICIAL WIRELESS.) RUGBY, November 27. Mr Winston Churchill, Chancellor of the Exchequer, was questioned regarding the composition of the proposed Committee on Reparations. He replied that the personnel and terms of reference of the Committee had not been settled, and accordingly he was not in a position to make a statement. He might be able to give a reply next Monday, but there were five or six Governments to get into touch with. Asked whether this Expert Committee would be appointed by the Reparations Commission under the terms ot the Versailles Treaty, or otherwise, Mr Churchill said that was just one of those subjects on which it would be premature to give information.
