LONDON, November 12.
The Rome correspondent of "The Times" states in connexion with the Bill : doubling the tax on bachelors, .which is now before the Senate, Signer Mussolini complains that even in Italy the numbfr of marriages is diminiahng in spite of the Government's various social and' moral, inducements to marriage. ' He .aays that he-does not expeet that the new Bill will make bachelors terminate their state of isolation, but it will at least make them financially assist the Government's social policy. Only those who may not marry, those permanently unable to work, and the inmateß of poorhouaes and hospitals, ax* exempted from the tax,—"The Timet" Cables. . .
