FEDERAL ELECTIONS.
WOMEN VOTERS IN MAJORITY.

CANBERRA, November 13.
The number of voters on the Federal rolls for the election on Saturday total 3,457,555. Women number 1,730,529, or 3503 more than the men. Only three' States, Victoria, South Australia, and Tasmania, show an excess of women. —Australian Press Association.
SENATE CANDIDATE DIES.
MELBOURNE, November 13
Major-General Forsyth, one of the Nationalist candidates for the Senate, died last evening after a brief illness, from pneumonia following influenza. He was 61 years of age. . A difficulty arises in connexion with the election papers, on which his name has been printed. Instructions will pe given to returning officers to delete it. As only two Government candidates remain for the three vaoant seats, Labour is assured of one.—Australian Press Association. SYDNEY "SUN" PROSECUTED. (Received November 13th, 9.46 p.m.) SYDNEY, November 13. The Commonwealth electoral authorities have launched a prosecution against Sun Newspapers, Ltd., Sydney, charging it with publishing an unsigned article commenting on a candidate, namely, Mr 8. M. Bruce, Prime Minister, on October 12th. The case has been adjourned until Tuesday next.— Australian Press Association.
