SANDERS CUP.
MEETING OP COMMITTEE.
A meeting of the Sanders Cup Committee was held at Akaroa; on Monday evening, Mr,T. Masefield presiding. A letter was received from the Canterbury Sailing and Power-Boat Association, asking what date in' February would be the most suitable for the commencement of the contest, and also asking the committee to arrange for the accommodation of the crews and del&gates. It was decided to submit February 14th to the Association for its approval. The Accommodation Committee furnished 1 a detailed statement of what accommodation would be available i during the contest, and it was resolved that all future- bookings be made through the committee.
Messrs G. Davidson and T. McCaughan reported that the success of the proposed outboard motor races was assured, and they had been promised a number of trophies for the events. The secretary was instructed to communicate with the different Centres toascertain the number of people who would be accompanying each boat.
