A fife which raged for a couple of hours this afternooii at Redferi destroyed two factories, and four residences, the damage exceeding £50,000. The factories were Riley's furniture manufactory ond Dicksofl's box ftictory. The furniture was removed from about 20 nearby houses, but thp fire, brigade, was able to stem the blaze.
