ROAD AND HAIL.
A COMBINED SERVICE. (BMTIBH OFFICIAL WIBELESS.) (Received .October 2oth, 7.45 p.m.) RUGBY, October 24. An interesting new experiment in passenger transport is announced by the Great Western Railway Company which is to start on Monday ft road and rail service between Cheltenham, Oxford, and London. The first part of the journey will be by motor-bus .and the second by rail. The inclusive fare for a return • journey, will be rather less than one penny per mile. This is one of several new railway developments designed for meeting the rapidly-increasing competition of road transport. Other announcements are expected shortly.
