WORLD TOUR BY MOTOR-CAR.
MR AND MRS G. W. ALLSOP. ARRIVAL IN ENGLAND. (PBOM OUB OWN COBHESPONDEXT.I LONDON, September 21. Mr and Mrs G. W. Allsop (Auckland) have been staying at Newcastle-on-Tyne with Mr A. M. Turnbull—(of the firm of Messrs Dickinson, Miller, and Turnbull, solicitors, and himself a New Zealander by birth) —and now they are in Edinburgh. Already Mr and Mrs Allsop have covered more than 13,000 miles by motor-car, including a desert stretch of 1800 miles, changing only two tyres en route. It is estimated that 2£ years will be needed to complete the whole tour, by which time some 40,000 miles by land and sea will have been traversed; Landing at Durban after travelling extensively in Australia* Mr and Mrs Allsop motored up to Pretoria, Bulawayo, Victoria Falls, and Livingstone, returning to Cape Town via Kimberley. where they were shown uncut diamonds valued at £IOO,OOO.
