THE MOND GROUP, APPROVAL OP UNIONS, _, (ssraan omau wnuusa:^ RUGBY, October 29. The Joint Committee of vrhat is known as the ','Alond Conference" on industrial co-operation resumed its meet* ings yesterday.

The trade union members of the conference reported that the action of the General Council of the Trade Union Congress, in taking part in the discussions, had been fully approved, and that the reports on trade union recognition, victimisation, rationalisation, the establishment of a National Industrial Council, and other matters bad been adopted. For carrying out the proposals for a National Industrial Council and setting up machinery for the prevention of disputes, co-operation of the National Confederation of Employers' Organisations and of the Federation of British Industries is necessary, and these bodies still have the matter under consideration. Ponding their decisions, which are expected within the next few woeks, the committee proceeded with other matters on a comprehensive agenda, and it is understood that the unemployment question was considered at some length yesterday.
