SHEPHERD'S MISHAP.
(MttSß ASSOCUTIOX nbMMAK.) GISBORNE, August 27. Joseph Ward, employed as a shepherd at Waimata Vallex. whilst riding around ttie sheep, fell into a_ereek and suffered a broken kg. With great difficulty he managed to extricate himself, and crawled amile to his whare. He was in an exhausted condition when he met a mate who was riding over another part of the property. He was conveyed to the hospital.
