RECEPTION AT BOSTON, MAYOR IS NOT VISITED. (TJNITBD PBESB ASSOCIATION—BY ELECTBIC TEJBSBAPH— gpPYBISBT.) (Received August 27th, 5.5 p.m.) NEW YORK, August 26. A message from Boston states that thousands of men, women, and children to-day visited tho cruiser H.M.A-S, Australia. The officers attended Trin* ity Church in the morning and lunched at the Brooklin Country Club. Admiral Hyde and his staff went to Bey-, erley Farm aa guests of the BMtish summer Embassy, They will be reeMV' ed at dinner to-night by Rear-Admiral Andrews. Admiral Hyde omitted his scheduled visit to the Mayor's office. The. Mayor, Mr Nichols, was absent, and asked the Aoting'-Mayor. Mr Green, to extend tbe hospitality of the city to the visitors in bis stead, A representative of Ad-> miraj Hyde answered Mr Green's question as to.tha Australian Admiral's apparent indifference, by stating that tho Australia had been so delayed by fog that Admiral Hyde was unable to follow bis expected _ programme.—Australian Press' Association. .
