THE THIRD TEST.
N.Z. SCRUM'S LEGALITY. DOUBT IN SPRINGBOKS* MINDS. (Special to Pb*ss Assocutiox.) POBT ELIZABETH, August 13. The manager of the Springbok team has raised a doubt about the legality of the New Zealand loose head forward in the scrum. He baa decided to place the rules before the South African Rugby Board, and to ask for a ruling. New Zealanders are confident that no objection can be made to playing the loose head fb the front row, as was done in the second Test. They propose to pack the same scrum again. It worked effectively at Johannesburg, but they are expecting some sort of counter move from the Springboks. Mr V. H. Neser, who refereed the two first Tests, has been chosen for the third. The New Zealand team for the Third Test will be chosen from the following: Full-back~D. F. Lindsay. Three-quarters—F. W. Lucaß, A. 0. Kobilliard, 6. B. Carleton, B. Grenside. Five-eighths—H. Lilburno, M. Nichoils, L. Johnson. Half-back—W. C. Dalley.
Forwards—B. F. Stewart, J. T. Burrows, H. J. Swain, S. Hadley, M. Brownlie, G. T. Alley, I. Pinlayson, W. E, Hazlett, B. G. McWilliams.
