On Saturday evening, the Canterbury College Engineering Society Held their twenty-first annua] dinner. Professor Powell, thepresident of the Society, presided. The singing of "Auld and the National Anthem concluded an enjoyable evening. The rose topped the list, for the third successive year, in a recent flower popularity census taken in 259 schools in New York State. This flower received nearly half tho 900,000 votes recorded, next coming the carnation, the tulip, and the violet.
