OBITUARY.
MR W. A. SIMPSON. The late Mr William Henry Simp* son was a twin son of the late Mr Richard Simpson and Mrs Simpson, of Cashe] street, Christchurch. He was born at Amberley, later going Hb Ashbarton, and then to Christchnrch, where his death occurred following mi operation. He married Edith Beatrice, second daughter of the late Mr Thomas Retallick and Mrs Retallick, of Strathfield. Amber ley. For the last 17 years he had been in the employ of Messrs Paynter and Hamilton, ana the esteem in which he was held was shown by the fact that all his fellow workmen attended the funeral, marching at the head of the lengthy cortege to tho Bromley Cemetery. The Rev. Harold Sharp officiated at the graveside. TV deceased leaves a widow, two sons, and four daughters to mourn their loss. Th<-pall-bearers, fellow-workmen of deceased, were:—Messrs Norman Mitchell, F. Hamilton, F. Jndkins, and P. Edwards.
