NANKING INCIDENT.

RUGBY, August 10. Questions arising out of , the Nanking incident of March 24th, 1927, when, during the occupation by the Chinese Southern troops, the British Consulate was attacked and two British subjects were killed and a third received injuries from which he later died, have been settled. Notes recording the settlement were exchanged yesteroay_ at> Shanghai on behalf of the British, Government, and Dr. C. T. Wang, as Nanking Minister for Foreign Affairs. Sir Sidney Barton, British ConsuJGeneral at Shanghai} journeyed specially to Nanking for the purpose. . Dr. Wang, the Nationalist Minister for Foreign Affairs, is reported to havp discussed the revision .of the SinoBritish Treaties. The text of the agreement is not published yet.
