FAREWELL PARTY. : At their home in Rugby street last night. Dr James Hight, Rector oi Canterbury College, and Mrs Bight, ; held a delightful reception as a farej well to Miss Alice Candy, who is leaving Christchurch on Wednesday to join the Rotorua on Saturday en route for England. The drawiog-room was festively decorated with a profusion,, of marigolds and daisies, while branches of pink and red japonica brightened the : hall, and narcissi adorned the suppei table.
