The ; train was -of .tUlle and . the bridal veil fell from - a circlet', of orange Blossom. ; Her bouquet was. of freesias and other flowersThe sister of the bride, Miss Sylvia Hodgsoii, as bridesmaid, wore a sleeveless frock of white 1 ' crepe de chine with ankle length skirt deeply .hemmed with satin marocain and finished yrith blue and pink motifs, aiid a wide scarf, collar ioosfely tied' beiow the waistline. Her white poke bonnet was quaintly' finished with pink; and gold roses and she parried • an artistic bouquet. Josie Gawood; the small mece of the bridegroom, , acted as train-bearer, ; weariflg a long frilled dress of "white crepe vde chine and a white mob cap finished with' narrow- sitin ribbon. Mr Frank Thomson attended the bridegroom as best man. On leaving the church the bride was presented with a lucky horseshoe,. At _ the reception, held subsequently at Dixieland, -Mrs Cawood, the bridegroom's ? mother,: received the Quests, wearing a•. fttfyy J>lue silk marocain dress - with touches, of beige and hat and bouquet to : tone, ; The guests later adjourned to. the residence of the 'bridegroom's parents to bid farewell to the hapoy couple as theyleft by car on. their wedding trip, the bride wearing a becoming jumper stut of mushroom, pink and hat to tone and a handsome fur. coat.
TENNIS MATCH. - A friendly tennis match was.vplayed. on Edgeware courts- on- Thursday, tween players from Shirley and' Eidgeware Clubs. Weather conditions were good and some interesting games were played, Shirley winning by 68 games to 64. The;Shirley players taking part were. Mesdam&i Holland, Baggs McPherson, Sparrow, ' O'Connor, Chrys'tal, ! and Miss "Hamilton, while the players' for Edgeware were Mesdames" Fdrgie, Berry, Harris,' Mcßae, Uren' and Misses Miles. Afternoon tea'was dispensed 'by the members of the Edgeware Club. ;
