ACCIDENTS ABROAD. CARS COLLIDE WITH TRAIN. (united press association—bi electric TELEGBAFH —COPTOIGHT.) (Received July 30th, 8.15 p.m.) VANCOUVER, July 20. A message from Saskatoon (Saskatchewan) states that five are dead, including Professor Marstena, of the Lutheran College, Saskatoon, and four were injured, one of whom is expected to die, when two taxi-cabs collided with a Canadian National train on Saturday night. —Australian , Press Association, United Service. DISASTROUS EXPLOSION. (Received July 30th, 8.5 p.m.) WARSAW, July 30. A message from Lodz, Poland, states that ten persons were lulled in a fire, due to an explosion in a chemical warehouse, and hundreds were injured.—Australian Presß Association. (Received July 31st, 1.1 a.m.) Thirty are dead and 300 injured in the explosion at Lodz, which caused widespread panic through benzine tanks becoming ignited. MEN BURNED TO DEATH. (Received July. 30th, 7.5 p.m.) NEW YORK, July 29. A message from Guernsey, Wyoming, states that eight unidentified men were burned to death in a train wreck on the Burlington railroad on Sunday.— Australian Press Association, United Service. j AMERICAN LAWYERS INJURED. ! (Received July 30th, 9.46 p.m.) SAN FRANCISCO, July 30. Twenty-eight persons were injured, some seriously, when the American Bar Association's special train from Seattle was struck by the Cascade Limited Express at Cortena.—Australian Press Association, United Service. TRAIN FALLS INTO GULLY. BRISBANE, July 30. A sugar cane train in the Childers district toppled off a bridge into a gully fifteen feet below. The driver, Alfred Hitchman, was pinned by a leg, which was crushed. He retained consciousness for six hours, while the fireman was. trying to extricate him and the guard was looking for medical assistance, but died shortly after being rescued.—Australian Press Association. TRAINS COLLIDE. BRISBANE, July 30. A Maryborough message states that a stock and a goods train collided at Croydon Junction. Several waggons were smashed to matchwood, but nobody was hurt. —Australian Press Association.
