SESSION NEARS ITS CLOSE.

The practice of Parliament rising for the summer recess by an adjournment and resuming the session in the autumn, will be followed this year and on Friday next the session will t> o brought to its end by a prorogue. The new session, which is the tntn, and will be the last of the present Parliament, will be opened in November instead of in February, and there win be a short recess at Christmas time, unless Parliament is dissolved at an earlier date. The new session will oe prorogued for August of next year. If this change proves generally acceptable it will be regularly followed in the future. HOME SECRETARY'S SPEECHES. (Received July 30th, 7.5 p.m.) LONDON, July 30. The political correspondent of ' The Times" says:—"Sir William JoynsonHicks's speeches are not, perhaps, taken very seriously in England. adds significantly: "But *he general feeling in the Party is that Ministers should show some sense of Cabinet solidarity before they embark on an autumn campaign."—"The Times Cables. .
