The utmost secrecy is maintained by the M.C C. regarding the batch, for the English Eleven which, it is understood, was selected yesterday. Even.the place and time of the meeting ■ were kept secret! the only intimation available heing to the effect that the names or those chosen are not to be issued until after the M.O.C. Cricket Committee meeting "some time,next week. Everybody conperned appears to be bound to seorecy, but one or two people, though not in well-informed quarters, mention the_ names of Ames and Leyland, in addition to the names of the seasoned veterans. —Australian Press Association, United Service.
