BEACH RINGWORM
DISEASE AFFECTS BATHERS. (UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION-BY ELECTRIC TELEORAPH—COPTRISHT.) (Received July 29th, 5.5 p.m.) SUVA, July 29. The beach ringworm which has occurred at several bathing centres has been diagnosed in Sydney as a form of fungus disease, tinia or tinia alba, otherwise known as bhobie itch. It » common in Egypt, where probably Australian troops were infected. Well-known medical men in Fiji ana also at the Rockefeller Institute have investigated the trouble, and several well-known remedies have been recommended by Fiji medical experts, 1i» disease is capable of control.-Austra-lian Press Association.
