EMPIRE PROBLEMS
PARLIAMENTARY PARTY. CONFERENCE AT OTTAWA. (BRITISH OmciAl. WIRELESS.) RUGBY, July 27. Questions of common interest throughout the Empire, including trade and economic development and migration, will be discussed by the Empire Parliamentary Association delegates at the conference in the House of Commons, Ottawa, .-which opens on August 29th. The delegates from the British Parliament include members of all three political Parties, among them being Lord Hailsham, the Lord Chancellor, Viscount Peel, First Commissioner of Works, and Lord Thompson, who was Air Minister in the Labour Government. They, together with many delegates from other parts of the Empire, will leave Southampton on August 18th on the Empress of Prance, and will be met at Quebec by the Canadian Prime Minister, Mr Mackenzie King, and the leading members of the Cabinet and Opposition. , The delegates will make an extensive tour of Canada, during which matters of particular concern to business and other interests will be discussed at various centres and conferences held with Provincial Parliaments.
