[THE PEESS Special Service.] AUCKLAND, May 14. The forty-seventh annual report of tlhe Northern Steamship Company, Ltd., to be presented to shareholders on Thursday, shows a net profit for the year ended March 31st of £13,ii14 18s sd, after making provision for depreciation, insurance, income-tax, and boiler and repairs account. Transfer fees were £l4 17s 6d, and the balance brought forward from the previous account was £8987 8s lid, making a total of £22,217 4s lid. An interim dividend at the rate of 8 per cent, per annum, which was distributed on November 14th, absorbed £6456 9s Bd, and the directors recommend a further dividend at the rate of 8 per cent, for the half-year ending March 31st, leaving a balance of £9304 5s 6d to be carried forward.
