To remove the conveniences and reinstate the roadway at the corner of Manchester and High streets will cost £3O. The City Engineer reported to this effect at the City Council last night when the Works Committees report was considered. The Committee's Report added that the owners of property in the vicinity had subscribed fos for improvements in the City, and the Committee, which had been given oower to act. proposed to use Ais mc-Tev towards the cost of removing the conveniences.
