Forecast. A deep depression has creased the South Island and pressure is falling rapidly to the- eastward of Now Zealand. An intense anti-cyclone reinainß over Australia. Forecast: Moderate to strong winds, reaching gale force on parts of the East Coast; direction between north and west at first from Cook Strait onwards, south-westerlies elsewhere, and later becoming general.
