LYTTELTON NEWS.

1 Eoyal Australian Sunbeams. The Royal Australian Sunbeams will their only appearance at the Harbour Light Theatre this afternoon and evening in the mimical revue, "The Wedding o£ Baby Doroen." The programme is a most attractive • one for both children and adults, and the large audionceß at the Municipal Concert Hall last week were delfghted with the bright performance. Jackie Clarke, Australia's Jackie Coogan, makes his second appearance in Lyttelton, and he comes back with a repertoire of new songs. _ He has' made a considerable advance in his comedy work. Harry Ussher, who takes the part of the bridegroom, is the possessor of a sweet soprano voice. The adult ballet is clever and finished, but it is the children of the company who give the greatest delight. Childish vivacity is -always appealing, and "tho quaint earnestness of the children has an attraction for all. One of the most striking displays is the performance of the Royal Acrobatic Wonders. These marvellous girls seem to be made of rubber. Even the youngest can turn "flips" with a rapidity that can scarcely be followed by tho eye, while the living pyramids and tableaux are worthy of the most advanced gymnasts. The costuming of the company is most striking, and there are some most charming ballet effects. ' The reserve plan for both performances is at King' and Cousins.
