A welcome home was extended to Mr and Mrs Stanley Erwood in the Parish Hall on Thursday evening. The Rev. G. N. Watson presided, and extended congratulations to the bride and- groom. During the evening Misses J. Ives, Agnes Smith,. and' H; Horgan contributed songs, and Miss V. Blair (Bakaia) a recitation. On Thursday afternoon the staff of the Temuka Co-operative Dairy Company, Ltd., assembled to do honour to one of their number, who is leaving to got married. The manager, Mr Claude Harrison, referred to the/reliable service rendered to the company by Miss G. Purdom during the past six years, and asked her to accept a set of cutlery. Football. Hockey Club. At the annual meeting of the Temuka Hockey Club the following officers were elected: Patron, Mr T. D. Burnett, M.P.; S president, Mr Furneaux Smith; vice-presidents, Messrs S.
