JUMP TO DEATH.
NOTTINGHAM TRAGEDY. (BY CASLS —7ASBS ASSOCIATION—COPTMOE?.! (acsthaluh and h.i. casus Association.) (Received March 11th, 6.8 p.m.) LONDON, March 10. Despite appeals from the crowd to wait for the arrival of the fire brigade, William Cupitt and his wife, blouse makers, and a. woman employee jumped seventy feet from a blazing building in Nottingham. They died in hospital. A fire escape arrived a few seconds after the last had jumped, but the three victims had no alternative but jump or be burnt to death. Twenty-four work girls escaped by an emergency staircase.
