ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL.

A FRIENDLY GAME. A friendly game between the sailors of H.M.S. Laburmmi and the Nomads Club was played on Saturday afternoon at Hag* ley Park. The day was warm, hut that did not spoil the game. In the first half the game was evenly contested, the score at half-time being nil. . Play in the second half brightened up, the ball "going up and down continuously, keeping both goal-keepers on the alert. Laburnum opened the scoring with a goal headed-in by Hunton from a tussle in fiont of the goal. Towards the end the sailors were wearing down the Nomads, and were attacking at the whistle. The final score wa?: H.M.S. Laburnum 1, Xomaris 0.
