CHRISTCHURCH CLUB. The forty-eighth annual carnival of the Christchurch Swimming Club was held in the West Christchurch baths on Saturday afternoon. The swimming was all of a high standard. In the course of the afternoon Mr T. H. Harker presented the Harker-Brown Cup for three distances—quarter-mile, half-mile, and 200 yards—swum in the Estuary, to F. A. Jennings and A. J. Curtis, who were firaf equal. Other trophies presented were the Francis Memorial Cup, to D. McLennan, arid the George Harris Cup for the club championship, won by R. Curtis. The results of the events were as follows :
