Forecast. Rather low pressure extends from the North Tasman Sea to the east of New Zealand. An extensive anti-cyclone is situated to the westward. Moderate southerly winds, freshening north of New Plymouth and Napier, and elsewhere moderate to fresh northerly at tirst, later backing to soutlierlies can be expected. The seas generally will be moderate, but rather rough south of East Cape, with moderate to strong southerly winds and rising seas over the Tiismnn Sea. The weather generally will be changeable, with some scattered rain, more particularly in the eastern districts, with cool temperatures.
