POWER SUPPLY.
THE WAITAKI SCHEME. VISIT OF HON. MR WILLIAMS. The Hon. Mr Williams, Minister f'«' Public Works, intends visiting to-d-jy the sites on the Waitaki river, somj distance beyond Kurow, proposed lor the dam in connexion with the power development scheme, and the canterbury Progress League has been so advised, and has been invited to send representatives. It is probable that representatives of the League and °j the South Canterbury Chamber or Commerce will accompany the Minuter on his visit. In accordance with the promise matlo by the Minister to the deputation which waited on him in Christchurch on the 2nd inst., regarding the matter.' Mr Williams will advise the League regarding the result of his visit.
