PROPOSED INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE.
(bi cable— pb«ss association—copibight.) (austbaliax and k.z. and Bto cable.) GENEVA, February 3. The Labour Office Council has resolved to hold an International Maritime Labour Conference immediately after the Labour Conference in 1929. The council adopted the French Government delegate's motion that the council examine the procedure to be followed regarding proposals for revising conversations. The mover, M. Picquenard, said until this question was discussed the council would be unable to consider the British Government's revision proposal. The British delegates announced that their Government reserved the right to place the question .of revision on the 1929 agenda. The Labour groups opposed the motion on the ground that the Washington Convention should be upheld.
