Two small girls, aged ten yearß and two years respectively, were the cause of considerabKairaety yesterday when they were missed from their home late in the afternoon. They live in Butland street, and cfter being seen near the Madras street bridge at 5.45 p.m., the elder girl wheeling the other in a push-chair, they dinappeared. Enquiries and a radio distress call obtained the information that two girls answering vhe description broadcasted had been seen at Sumner, and it was there that the police found them. According to report they were bathing In the surf at 9 p.ui., having wandered down to the beach for that purpose. Tho police sent the children home on a late tram, .and they arrived back in the tfity none the worse for their late bathe.
