Mrs L. Tripp (Wellington) is the guest of Mrs A. Hope ("'Tumanako"). Mr, Mrs, and Miss Angas, who were visiting Timaru, have returned to Ashburton.

Miss Hoklgate (Butler street) and Mr E. A. Holdgate leave to-day on a trip to England. Mrs A. Turnbull, who was the guest of Mrs D. C. Turnbull (Evans street), returned to Christchurch yesterday. Mr and 3lrs H. D. Blair (Orbell street) have roturned from a visit to Lake Tekapo.
Mrs McKillop (Christchurch) is visiting Timaru.
Miss June Orbell (Park lane) and Miss K Wood left yesterday to spend a few days with Mrs A. S. Elworthy (Hoimo Station).
Mrs Nicholls and Miss V. Nicholls, accompanied by Miss L. Cartwright (Orbell street), have left for Oamaru.
Mr and Mr s R. T. Turnbull (Beverley road) left yesterday on a visit to North Canterbury.
Miss G. Finch (Dunedin), who was visiting Timaru, has returned home. Miss M. Curtis, who was the guest of Mrs G. R. M. Jones (Evans street), returns to Christchurch to-dav.
Mr and Mrs S. Goodman (Rathmore street) have returned from a visit to Lake TeKapo. Miss D. Dailey (Christchurch) is the guest of Mrs E. Goodman (Rathmoro street). Mrs Bruce Murray, who has been visiting Timaru, returns to Godley Peaks to-day.

NOTES FROM HINDS
.Mr and Mrs S. Cook (Christchurch) are paying a brief visit to Mr and Mrs J.*M. Hampton before leaving for Wellington. Mr and Mrs D. T. Paterson and daughter have returned after a motor trip to Ofcago. _ Mr H. Musson lias returned to Dunedin after spending the CKristmas holidays with his parents, Mr and Mrs W. IV Musson. - Mrs J. S. Robertson and children (Grevmouth) arc guests of Mr and Mrs F. Hill. Mr and Mrs J. Morrison have returned to Christchurch after spending a holiday with Mr and Mrs J. T. Ellis.
