WELLINGTON, January 6

On Wednesday- evening January 11th, the Governor-General and Lady Alice Fergussou propose to leave Wellington for Dunedin and Invercargill and for an official tour of several districts in Southland. On or about January 20lh their Excellencies will go into residence at ''Eltnwood," Papanui road, Christchurch, for three weeks or a mouth, and early in March propose to pay their customary 'annual visit to Auckland, where they will take up residence at Governnien.t House. On Tuesday next. January 10th, their Excellencies will hold a garden party at Government House. Wellington. Those in possession of invitations for a similar gathering which was to have been held on November 22nd last, but which was unavoidably post poncd, are requested to regard the invitations as holding good for January 10th.
