"BOBBED HAIR."

A FASHIONABLE COMED\'

CRYSTAL PALACE, MONDAY.

Continuing its policy of putting on comedydramas, the Crystal Palace Theatre presents next -week "Bobbed Hair" as the piece de resistance, a society drama with a melodrama's share of thrills and adventure, in which Mario Prcvost plays the bobbed-hair bandit, supported by an imposing cast including Kenneth Harlan, Emily FiUroy, Louiso .Fazenda, and John Roeho. Tho "Bobbed-haired Bandit," being something of a punter, makes an agreement with herself that she shall wed a husband according io the fashion of her hair-cut. Besides getting » husband through the vagaries of hov pompadour, she also gels adventure with capitals. Twenty really good American aulhors bent in labour on this story, and there are many famous .names among them, including Goorge Barr McCutcheon. It is funny, it is thrilling, it is delightfully and foolishly romantic, it has n thread of drama, and it has some excellent acting, tho choice character playing of that amusing comedienne, Louise Fazenda, being a .ioy to behold. Alan Crosland directed this picture, lie who has guided the great Barrymore through tho mazes of "Don Juan," "The Sea Beast," and "The Beloved Rogue," so its realism and intelligence is assured. Outstanding pjayers among the gifted array are Miss Provost, Louise Fazqnda, and Kenneth Harlan, with the sour aunt of Emily Fitzroy also making a hit. • The picture being unusual, it should become popular with patrons next week. "Wild Beauty" is tho title of the second feature, and an apt title, too, for beauty, to be beautiful, should aways be untamed. Miss Ethel M. Doll tells us that there is nothing like n cave man for an intractable beauty. The artist in the loading role is both wild and beautiful. The Symphony Orchestra, under Mr Alfred Bunz, will play the following musical programme: Overture, _ Parade of the Victors" (Bergh), Salome (Strauss), "Manon Lescant" (Puccini), "The Sicilian Vespers" (Verdi), L Arlesienne Suite" (Bizet),, Story (Coatos), "Tho Greenwich Witch (Oonfrey). "Love's Wilfulness'' (Barthelemy), "A Southern Wedding" (Lothcr . Tho box plans area? The BristoT Piano Company, whero seats may he reserved.
