The Tainui is due at ■Wellington on the 16th inst. from London, which port she left on December 9th. Sho will also discharge at Auckland.

The Canadian Prospector is due at Auckland on Monday from Montreal and Halifax. She will also discharge at Wellington, Lyttelton, Timaru, and Dunedin. The Canadian Scottish is to sail from Halifax on January 25th for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Timaru, and Dunedin. She is due at Auckland on March 10th. _ The German steamer Kerston Miles, which is at present unloading a cargo of case oil from Port Arthur, Texas, at Auckland, is under the command of Captain A. Witzig, and with him are the following officers: Chief, Mr F. Willbrandt; second, Mr P. Dunker; third, Mr H. Breckwoldt; wireless operator, Mr E. Franke; chief engineer, Mr H, Hannam; second, Mr L. Hermet; third, Mr L Rensch; chief steward, Mr G. Oliff. She is expected to arrive at Wellington to-morrow to continue unloading before proceeding to Australian ports to complete discharge. With a full cargo of timber and coal, the Poolta, from Newcastle, arrived at Wellington on Thursday morning. She sailed from the Australian port at 1.35 p.m. on December 29th. Fine weather and light winds were experienced during the greater part of the voyage, but fresh to strong winds and heavy seas were encountered for two days before arriving at Wellington. Captain K. M. Kane is in command, and with him are the following officers: Chief, Mr L. English; second, Mr W Kehoo; third, Mr Pike; chief engineer, Mr Dickie; second, Mr J. Matthews; third, Mr M. Olds; wireless operator, Mr S. Staffordchief steward, Mr Craig. The Poolta h due at Lyttelton to-morrow, and sails on Tuesday for Timaru.
