At the W.E.A. Summer School afc Methven, on Thursday, Mr Lloyd Boss discussed the "White AustraliafPolicy," aud'Mr H. 6. Miller eompletedihis studies of the early contaets of Maori and European by telling the lifeKStory of Wiremu Tamehana, the "king-toaker." In the'afternoon an excursion was made to Macfarlane's Bush, on the Ashburton river. Professor Shelley took the evening lecture on "Impressionist- Art," ■dealing especially with the works of Whistler. '■&
