REPEAL ADVOCATED. (BY CABLE— I'ItESS ASSOCIATION—COPIBIGHT.) (AUSTRALIAN AND N.Z. CABLE ASSOCIATION.) (Received January 3rd, 5.55 p.m.) LONDON, January 3. Several irritating war regulations which have survived under the. name "D.0.R.A.," generally cartooned as an interfering old woman, may be removed under the recommendation of a Departmental Committee, which favours the sa" of cigarettes and tobacco in shops until 9.30 in the evening, instead of eight o'clock, and also the salo of tobacco and sweets in theatres, cinemas, and publichouses, so long as thoy arc open. The committee, however, recommends that the compulsory early closing of shops generally be embodied in permanent legislation.
