TRAM AND BUS.

♦ • COLLISION IN STANMORB ROAD. At eleven o'clock yesterday morning, at the intersection of Stanmore road and Hereford street, an Inter-City bus, with a full complement of passengers, bound for the City, came into collision with a tram-car going to Richmond. At the corner of Hereford street there is a two-storey building, and this makes it impossible for a driver either in Hereford street or Stanmore road to see if any traffic is coming, and this is given as the reason for the accident.

Although the bus was almost clear when the tram hit it, the impact was severe. Two passengers in the bus were injured, Mr and Mrs Walter, visitors from Invercargill, being admitted to the Hospital suffering from cuts and shock. No one on the tram was hurt.
