The year 1927 was a record, one for inotor-ship building, states the periodical, '' Motorship.'' Large vessels completed numbered 137, with a gross tonnage of 815,800, compared with 735,000 in 1926. Tonnage at present ordered amounts to 1,960,000, an increase of about 35 per cent.
